Earthquake Relief

The massive destruction caused by the killer earthquake in Gujarat resulted in an overflowing tide of sympathy and immediate material support from all over the world.

The need of the hour
The waves of sympathy following the emotional reaction in the immediate aftermath of the quake are now on the ebb. But the quake victims require our helping hands much more now as they are faced with the emptiness in their lives when all the emergency rescue workers are leaving.

Reaching out to the victims
Our eventual goal is the complete rehabilitation of an adopted village. This includes:
Immediate measures to help people restart their lives and Long term plans to resettle the victims and to help them lead a relatively normal and secure life.

Our immediate relief efforts
These were directed towards providing medical and other relief measures including the dispatch of doctors with the required relief material to Kutch and treating the more complicated cases here at our hospital in Mumbai.

A heart-wrenching picture unfolded before the eyes of our rescuer team. Shattered homes, despairing looks, terror in the eyes at every after shock accompanied broken bones and amputated limbs.
